I feel the need to offer a disclaimer before I get started today. I am not, have never been, and most likely never will be, a food connoisseur. My taste palate is as uneducated as, well, a lousy cook's. That said, I do have certain preferences, one being that my brownies need to be chewy and not fluffy.
In an effort to stay away from the stores, and needing some comfort food, I looked for, and found, a rocking brownie recipe the other day on Dewey's Treehouse.
And then I went to the store to pick up a case of cocoa, because I was going to need it.
By the way, what's with getting snowed in on Spring Break???

hahahahahah omg I HAVE that cookbook and made those brownies as a kid... I may or may not mug my room mate for the cocoa... cuz... NOMNOMNOMNOM
They were REALLY chewy when i was a kid, but you may have to alter them because of our altitude... let us know if they are nummy
also your kids are friggen adorable:)
