Or in our case, used bike lot.
I tend to complain a lot about the state of affairs around here, the clutter that constantly exists in my life. In my carport, on the mantle, all over the desk, on the boys' floor, just to mention a very few. But at the end of the day as I sit here and "work" on the computer waiting for the kiddos to go to sleep, I have decided that clutter isn't entirely evil. Case in point, the carport where I park my van in the winter but graciously concede to the mass of wheeled paraphernalia for the spring/summer/fall. This picture documents the mess I am greeted with a majority of the time.
But I really can't complain. I love the fact that I don't have to load all the babies up to take the boys to school in the morning, and I love that I don't have to wake them up in the afternoon to pick the boys up from school. I love that Fred wakes the boys up early on Saturday and takes them for a bike ride up the canyon. I love that we all ride our bikes to grandma's house every Sunday for dinner. I love that all of the kids love to ride their bikes. Secretly, I love that my bike only cost me $30 because it was last year's model, even if it is pink.
And years down the road, when my kiddos have kiddos of their own, I hope they all have bikes and carports that look like this because that will mean that there's really no point in putting them away... we're only going to get them out again in a couple hours.
