When I die, I'm going to come back and haunt the Family History Library. I'll glide down the aisles of microfilm cabinets and lead people to the films with the names they are looking for.
You know what? Why don't you all just taxidermy me and set me up at a microfilm reader. Seriously. Who needs the Celestial Kingdom when you could have this...
Somewhere in here is John D Edelman. His christening record. A marriage certificate or two. His parent's names. Strolling through the endless rows of microfilm cabinets, I get a sense of hope, and excitement. Roll after roll of microfilm is devoured looking for the elusive information. And every once in a while, a pot of gold is found. A farm book from Norway with eleven generations of ancestors criss-crossing its pages. Families that have been waiting for years for someone to find them and give them a second chance. Hundreds of people I've been able to do a little something for.
I think it's the stifled philanthropist in me. I may not be able to dole out the cash, but I can sure put some names on a family group sheet.
And Art? He's hooked. I'm now an enabler. I signed him out of school so he could come with me.

I wish we lived closer to your FHL. Ours is NOTHING compared to yours!
Just pull C out of school-permanently! You could homeschool and not have to worry about him missing school-haha! J/K, but I can always help out with ideas/resources if you ever decided to do it!
