Think I'm funny, do you? We'll see if you're still laughing after I devote an entire post to an electrical box.
Yes, you heard me correctly. An electrical box. Definitely nothing funny about an elecrical box.
Unless your brother is helping you rewire the electrical box in your house and he tries to cut a wire without flipping the breaker and burns a hole through your wire cutters and can't feel his arm for an hour. (hi, mark) I'll admit that's funny, but only at family parties and when you need a good story to humiliate him with in front of his girlfriend or his manly construction buddies.
But on normal days, in normal company, electrical boxes are just not funny. Intriguing, yes. But not funny. Ok, so most aren't any more intriguing than they are funny, but this one is.
I found it bolted to the side of the Phoenix Science Museum last summer and have been pondering the picture trying to think of something funny to say about it.Nope. I have absolutely nothing funny to say. Sorry.
I am, however, intrigued by what Lady means. Maybe someone is a really big Neil Diamond fan. Or a Lady and the Tramp fan. I'm voting for Neil.
Maybe it's a frat house initiation prank. "Hey dude. Ya wanna be one of us, ya gotta go stick your tongue on the Lady." And then the gullible plebe wanders around downtown Phoenix looking for some short skirted painted lady of the night that won't call the cops on him when he licks her so he can be one of the guys.
Maybe it's something really simple and innocent, like initials for some obscure city ordinance. Los Angeles Department of Yelectricity. Except we're not in LA. How about Leave All Drugs Yearly. Leash All Dogs, Yo. Lawyers All Dig Yogurt. (it was right across from a courthouse) Whatever it stands for, it made enough sense for them to put it up there in the first place, eh?
Sorry, still not funny. You're gonna have to take up the slack on this one. Help me out here, what's the significance of Lady? I dare you to humor me.

I love almost everything about our house. Almost everything, EXCEPT one thing. Whoever built it put the breaker box on the OUTSIDE of the house. Without a lock. So whoever wants could come up to our house and switch off our electricity. Not a good idea, people.
I'm tempted to put a sign that says "Lady" on my breaker box.
How do you know the Skeems? They were in my ward two years ago. I love Heather.(We haven't had this conversation before, have we?)
