Mine go at the front door, so I've just recently implemented baskets for everyone. :)
They sit right next to the heat vent, so it works.
Congratulations on your superior solution skills!
I finally took our food storage out of our coat closet and we are actually using it as a coat closet! For all the misc stuff, I pinned a pillowcase to a hanger and we just dump them in there. I love having a living room floor again!
That's a great idea!
