Wow--very intriguing family history stories. Indeed.
Yeah, I did make that skirt from a pair of jeans. Which was cool because I liked the jeans, then they got a hole in the knee, and now I like the skirt.
I also made another skirt because I was given a pretty-much-brand new pair of polo jeans but they were just short enough that I wouldn't wear them. So I made a skirt that was long this time (since there was no holes in the knees). I like it too, only I'm afraid I made it too tight and if I wore it people might think I'm trying to be something I'm not trying to be. You know what I mean. Brett says he doesn't think it's too tight, but can I trust him? ;)
And by unwitting, I mean that they usually have no idea what I'm saying about them, in which case I have offered this small olive-branch: a pseudonym, as if that somehow will lessen their embarassment when they get old enough to realize I have been offering the world a running commentary on their life.
Thanks for the inspiration, Art, Bob, Chuck, Dot, and Ed.
And the man and me, Fred and Gert, the Head Chicken Herders.
