Rapelling, in (Admittedly Bad) Rhyme

Nine little monkeys sitting on a rock
Listening to Grandmpa, and looking so sweet.
Don't turn your back on them, the edge is really close,
And we don't want the vultures to have a monkey treat.

Leave a monkey on a rock,
Guess what he will do.
Scoot and slide and wear a hole
So we can see right through.

Ian's down and off the rope,
Quick as quick can be.
He flew right down the mountain side
And earned five bucks from me.

Down the rope come Dot and mom,
Strapped and tied and scared.
In a few years it'll be her turn,
Might as well be prepared.

Arthur is a little scared,
Thinks the rope's not safe.
"I'd rather be home doing science stuff"
Brings some comic relief.

Find a different smaller hill,
and make him climb up first.
Is that a smile I see on his face?
Guess he expected the worst.

Here comes Chuckie, grinning wide.
His fear has gone away.
All smiles for the camera,
He'll rapell some more today.

Perspective is a useful tool
To see just what we should.
Don't worry about us, we're safe as can be
Tied off to a rope where we stood.

1. Jared and Nikki, watching the show.
2. (arrows above and below) where we usually rapell
3. Kate and Atali on their way down.
4. Grandpa at the top, coaching them down
5. (two arrows below) smaller hill where Art and Chuck went off
6. Belayers lounging at the bottom of the hill
right above #4. top of the rope, where monkey pic was taken
