The Outing, in verse

There once was a girl I adore (what can i say... it rhymed)
Whose mama was going to the store.
"It won't be that fun
but i guess you can come."
So the outing was joined by one more.

Through store after store they did try
To find a cute dress they could buy.
Little Miss found a way
To turn work into play
And found some nice shorts in her size.

"But mom, come see how they fit!
At nursery they will be such a hit.
My friends will all smile
as I show the new style.
Please, mom, they just cost a bit!"
