I got the top put together. After a lot of cutting. And sewing. And snipping. But no pressing. Oh, no. I sewed the seams flat so i wouldn't have to press them. Sounded like a good idea. Until I ended up using 5,683,254 yards of thread. In three different colors. Cuz I kept running out and going to the store to buy more grey thread just wasn't on my list of How To Get This Blanket Finished.
Whaddaya think, is it big enough for my herd of a family to have a picnic on? There's only one problem with it. Can you find it?
Bottom corner, on the right. Look close. Cuz you just can't sew anything without some kind of mishap. Atleast I can't. (and i call myself a tailor. sheesh.)

Finished, Almost
I ran out of colored triangles. 3 triangles from the end. Searched the house high and low, I did. None to be found. Oh, well. Good thing I had all those denim triangles cut out from before I decided to go with this nice stripe.
Now all I have to do is quilt it. Does anyone have a six sided quilt frame I can borrow?

That looks like a NICE story blanket. Go outside with your favorite chapter book under a shade tree. Just read to those kiddos! Maybe someday I will make one. It makes it more interesting that it is not rectangular. Kinda helps with the creative thinking.
I love the way it turned out!! I want to make one. Albert has me saving old jeans so I can make a quilt, maybe I will get around to it one of these days.
