What's for dinner? I'm hungry! What are you making?
Enter, last night's failed attempt at baking bread.
There's something about that hole in the middle that begs to be noticed. Begs to be of worth. Begs to be the nest for my egg-in-a-nest. It's still of worth, not just a sweet spirit.
Mmmmm. Tastes of runny yolk and buttery bread and childhood. Even better when it's for dinner.
That's so funny. I haven't had those since we were kids and was thinking about them last week. So I made some, but mine ended up with runny whites a bit. yuck. Hope yours turned out better!
And by unwitting, I mean that they usually have no idea what I'm saying about them, in which case I have offered this small olive-branch: a pseudonym, as if that somehow will lessen their embarassment when they get old enough to realize I have been offering the world a running commentary on their life.
Thanks for the inspiration, Art, Bob, Chuck, Dot, and Ed.
And the man and me, Fred and Gert, the Head Chicken Herders.

I love it! What a great use for your bread! Usually the things that don't turn out the way we want them too end up being the BEST!
