I met someone today. Her name was Shelane. I've heard stories from people who say they've met another Shelane, or have heard of someone named Shelane, but it's kind of like the sasquatch. You never quite fully believe the stories. Every once in a while I think maybe the stories cound be true, like when I was trying to use my name as a login somewhere online and it was taken. And I knew there had to be one person with the same name, the one I was named after, but she's up somewhere in Montana and atleast 25 years older than I am. But back to my point. I met a girl named Shelane today. In church. She lives right across main street, in my mother-in-law's ward. It felt really funny to be saying my name outloud but not introducing myself. And that's not even the wierdest part. She said she was named after her grandma's best friend, who lived in Montana. So I'm off to call my dad (who met my namesake on his mission in Montana years ago) and ask if he remembers her last name, or what town she lived in. Who knows, crazier things have happened than two Shelanes with the same namesake meeting in church.

I didn't think anyone had my name either, then one day at the grocery store I heard on the loud speaker or walkie talkie someone calling Christianna.
I'm sure there are more out there, just never run across them, because they probably go by a nickname like me.
Wow, that is so crazy and cool. I love your name. Its so pretty.
