Scooter Thief Foiled

So i'm sitting at the computer blog surfing again (even tho I should be sleeping because Ed was up most of the night) and see a guy walking down the sidewalk stop, look around suspiciously to see if anyone is watching, pick up a scooter laying there and take off. DUDE!! That's my scooter! Actually, I can't decide if it's mine or the neighbors because they look the same, but after a half second of getting up the nerve to stand up for myself, I fling open the door and yell at him. Here's how it went down:

"Hey, that's my scooter!"
"What's that?"
"That's my scooter!"
"Oh, my bad. It was just laying on the sidewalk."
(Duh, that's where the kids ride it) "Thanks for bringing it back."
"No problem."
(You're such a dork, but i'll play along since you brought it back)

Now if I can just figure out if it really is mine. Either way, score one for the good guys!
